(You can find the widget to send this Directive to your MP at the bottom of this page.)
After 132 months, we are 68% of the way there!
The Directive Status table (below) enables us to keep track of which MPs have been informed about the current Aerial Aerosol Spraying and to publicly document their responses.
If your MP is not featured in this table, it is likely they have not yet been sent the Directive. Please send it to them by using the form on the right-hand side of this page.
If your MP is featured in the table, then do still send them the Directive. The louder our voice, the better.
Once you have sent the Directive to your MP, please use the form on our contact page to keep us updated with their responses so we can add that information to the table, below.
Thank you to everybody who is a part of this.
Update 25/01/2014: We have now added the following information to the cover letter that is sent with the message to each MP. This is to pre-empt any more inadequate responses we’ve been getting so far from too many MPs. Whether or not you have had a response from your MP, please raise these points with them:
Having read the Directive, I would like you to write to the appropriate minister on my behalf. Please note, however, the majority of ministerial responses thus far tend to be the same generic response, which recite content from these two Government documents:
a. The Department for Transport’s “Contrails / Chemtrails – Frequently Asked Questions” – http://assets.dft.gov.uk/publications/contrails-faqs/contrails-faqs.pdf
b. “The Government’s view on geo-engineering research” – https://www.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/120688/Government_view_on_geo-engineering_research.pdf
The following quotes are taken from the two aforementioned Government documents, and are accompanied by questions which I would like you to present to the relevant minister who should provide us with a full response for each:
Under the Freedom of Information Act please could you supply the following information within 20 working days.
1: From UK Dept of Transport’s Contrails / Chemtrails – Frequently Asked Questions “If atmospheric conditions of temperature and humidity are favourable, the contrails can continue to spread forming persistent contrails that can last for several hours” With reference to this image – http://cpuk.org/2-planes-1-chemtrail.jpg- and this video footage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XUpphCLIr0 : (As you can see) One plane leaves a persistent trail whilst another plane does not whilst (. The) atmospheric conditions are the same for each plane. ( so clearly there is another factor at play here). i) Please provide the papers/research done to back up the above statement made in ‘Contrails / Chemtrails – Frequently Asked Questions’. ii) Please advise how the atmospheric conditions are favourable for one plane’s contrail but not the other plane’s contrails? iii) What assurances can be made that the additional factor is not the aircraft, aircraft fuel or aircraft emissions?
2: From UK Government’s ‘Contrails / Chemtrails‘ “Alumina-silicates (compounds of aluminium and silicon) are common in clay soils and a wide range of other minerals, therefore measurements in air and soils are dominated by the ground level sources of aluminiosilicates rather than any that might come from contrails.” i) Please provide the papers/research done to back up the above statement made in ’Contrails / Chemtrails’ ( In order to actually prove this claim, would the Government be prepared to introduce the inspections and regulation of aircraft, aircraft fuel and aircraft emissions?)
3: From UK Government’s ‘Contrails / Chemtrails‘ “In the UK the Department is not aware of any other matter or aerosol being ejected from aircraft (known as chemtrails), other than the normal exhaust products from the aircraft.” i) How can the government be sure what ‘normal exhaust products’ are being emitted ‘from the aircraft’? ii) Please provide evidence of, or advise what routine tests are done on, aircraft emissions to back up the above statement.
( Pleading ignorance is not going to appease any of the growing number of people that are
Quote 1: “If atmospheric conditions of temperature and humidity are favourable, the contrails can continue to spread forming persistent contrails that can last for several hours”
Question 1: With reference to this image – http://cpuk.org/2-planes-1-chemtrail.jpg– and this video footage – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XUpphCLIr0 – how can the atmospheric conditions be favourable for one plane but not another. As you can see, one plane leaves a persistent trail whilst another plane does not. The atmospheric conditions are the same for each plane, so clearly there is another factor at play here. How can we be sure that the additional factor is not the aircraft, aircraft fuel or aircraft emissions?
Quote 2: “Alumina-silicates (compounds of aluminium and silicon) are common in clay soils and a wide range of other minerals, therefore measurements in air and soils are dominated by the ground level sources of aluminiosilicates rather than any that might come from contrails.”
Question 2: In order to actually prove this claim, would the Government be prepared to introduce the inspections and regulation of aircraft, aircraft fuel and aircraft emissions?
Quote 3: “In the UK the Department is not aware of any other matter or aerosol being ejected from aircraft (known as chemtrails), other than the normal exhaust products from the aircraft.”
Question 3: Pleading ignorance is not going to appease any of the growing number of people that are becoming aware of these aerial crimes. Saying you are not aware is unacceptable if you are not making any effort to become aware. So to facilitate its own awareness of what’s happening in our skies, would the Government be prepared to introduce the regulation of aircraft, aircraft fuel and aircraft emissions?
Quote 4: “Aircraft often follow similar routes separated by altitude, time or lateral distance and that is why you see grid like patterns in the sky”
Question 4: Whilst air traffic has doubled over the past 20 years, the grids, asterisks and tramline patterns we are currently witnessing on a regular basis cannot seemingly be recalled happening at all by anyone in the UK before the mid-1990’s. Why, therefore, do we have an exponential rise in this phenomenon over the past 20 years? And why is it that the vast majority of the planes producing persistent trails do not appear on flightradar24.com, despite the vast majority (over 70%) of commercial planes in UK airspace being fitted with ADS-B transponders?
Quote 5: “There is no evidence that contrails cause health problems”
Question 5: Persistent, spreading trails forming into artificial cloud cover is acknowledged. ‘Global dimming’ (20% reduction in sunlight reaching the Earth, as presented in the Directive) is acknowledged. Rickets, vitamin D deficiency and other human conditions relating to lack of sunlight are also acknowledged. So persistent, spreading trails *can* cause health problems. Therefore, how will the Government address these factors in order to safeguard the health of the population?
Quote 6: “Current scientific understanding is that they cause an additional warming of the atmosphere”
Question 6: If this is indeed the case, then the aircraft in UK airspace are contributing to ‘global warming’ and most likely causing a number of other problems. Considering the Government’s stance on climate change, would it not be reasonable and appropriate for the Government to grant independent inspections and regulate aircraft, aircraft fuel and aircraft emissions?
There appears to be a growing distrust of our Government. With it being revealed we’ve been sprayed in the past – and in light of all the above concerns – would you, by meeting the demands of the Directive, assure the concerned UK population that we are not being sprayed and will not be sprayed again?
Please would you send the above quotes and questions to the appropriate minister and ensure we get a satisfactory response.
Finally, please would you also confirm whether you will be willing to raise this issue in Parliament via an Early Day Motion or otherwise.

This is a great addition to this site, and already seems to be taking effect !
I can see that my own M.P has already been contacted, does this mean we should leave it at that, or would you
recommend that they receive multiple contacts ?
Thanks, Roy. Yeah, this is one of the reasons why there’s been such few updates on the site recently as we’ve been putting a lot of effort into the section edition of the Directive and getting the widget up and running.
We’re really pleased that we’ve reached 10% of MPs within just 3 days – we were hoping for that number by the end of the week, so it really is going well. We’re just struggling now to keep this page up-to-date! :)
To answer your question, most definitely send it to your MP again. The more they are notified of this, the harder it is for them to ignore it and the more pressure is put on them to take action.
And don’t forget to forward us their response, and we’ll update the table with accordingly so everyone can see what each MP is doing about this.
I wrote to my MP George Eustice (Redruth) asking him to read the directive and educate himself about this issue. His reply was thus, “the department of transport is not aware of any other matter or aerosol being ejected from aircraft in the uk other than that of normal exhaust products” He went on to mention the ENMOD treaty and possible use of sprays as small scale local weather modification in other countries that cant be considered as geoengineering . Basically he denies any knowledge
This is the generic reply most people who have sent The Directive to MP’s receive. We are formulating a list of actions to take in response to this unacceptable response. In the meantime it is important that each MP receives the researchable facts found in the links provided for them to alert the Govt. that the public who employ them do not consent and plan to stop it.
I live in Essex and in the last few weeks I have noticed no chemtrails over here. Good news.
Yes good news! Yet sadly there is usually some geoengineering going on is some part of the world and unnatural jet streams being manipulated somewhere… there is no more natural weather.
Thank you This is such a good idea! I started compiling a list myself,so glad you are doing it properly.
Whenever I have been anywhere and noticed spraying i have called the MP’s office to complain. My opinion is that they are all fully aware whats going on. They wont take any action as they care too much for their jobs. Some of the secretaries confirmed that numerous public had brought it to their attention. Others were rude and several could barely talk.
Keep up the good work
We are so happy you think so! We are doing the best job we can in our spare time and on no funding.
It’s a good idea for people to call their MP’s on a heavy spray day, perhaps send a photo or two via email, so they can go look outside and be reminded in their day to look up.
So please network the Directive, share the backbone of the evidence with friends and family and the more that send it in will make a huge difference. Think of people you know in your surrounding constituencies so we can get this to every MP in the country. Thanks for all you do.. keep it up!
I notice that all the MP’s listed above have given no response yet it is stated that there are a few who have. Is it possible to have their info too?
On the Quick Update on the status page we say ” We do have a number of responses from MPs back now and we’re hoping to update this page later this week to share their responses. Thank you to everybody who is a part of this.” We are doing this work in our spare time and are not funded, so we do experience delays in our work here because of this. We do what we can. Thanks for your inquiry and your patience, we are working on this.
Just to say I have signed the petition and just sent the directive to my local MP Chris Kelly (Dudley South).
Thank you so much for doing this Craig. We do get Cc’d into the outgoing directive emails so we have already noted it in our status, but sometimes it can take a day or two because we do this in our spare time. If you could email us his response then we can also make a not of his level of interest in helping us. We aim to get as many MP’s on side as possible and so the follow up meetings are important too… we are planning on advising people how best to approach this task in the coming weeks… Thanks for all you do.
I’ve sent this but be aware that if you send an email to your MP’s then they are more likely to ignore it. If you write to them at the House of Parliament (den of thieves) then they have to pass your concerns to the relevant Minister.
Thank you Andrew we are amending our email addresses to MP’s to reflect this good information.

I received a bog standard reply from Tom Greatrex Labour & Co-Operative MP
Rutherglen & Hamilton West | Shadow Energy Minister a few weeks back:
Thank you for drawing this important issue to my attention. I have read the Directive and understand your concerns with regards to SAG and the risks associated with its use. There is no doubt that SAG is an issue which needs to be addressed and has been taken up by Parliament through the Science and Technology Committee. The Committee recognises that SAG, and geoengineering more generally, requires review and much greater regulation. For further information on the work of the Committee and its report on the issue, please visit the following link: http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200910/cmselect/cmsctech/221/221.pdf.
I take such issues very seriously and continue to follow the issue closely.
Yours sincerely,
Tom Greatrex
Labour & Co-Operative MP
Rutherglen & Hamilton West | Shadow Energy Minister
Yes bog standard is a good way to describe your MP’s response. We have now logged this response onto out status chart and will contact you to advise on ways to keep up a good correspondence and rapport in order to gain his support for our campaign. Thank you.
I was inspired by your website and after witnessing blatent chemtrailing in Morecambe and taking hundreds of photo’s I contacted my local MP sending him the original Directive. I then received unsatisfactory replies from my MP David Morris, Gregory Barker and the DECC. I will be forwarding copies of all my letters and replies to Chemtrails Project UK. I have also sent the updated Directive to my local MP David Morris and will let you know as soon as I hear anything back from him. I have also signed your petition. Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for doing this and we are very happy to hear that we inspired you to write to your MP. We look forward to his response and will upload it here and help with your reply when the time comes. Keep asking questions to engage your MP on the issue until it comes time for them to vote in Parliament to ban this crime. Thanks for all you are doing.
I’ve just sent my directive to my MP Mr Raab for Esher , although I don’t hold out much hope of getting anything back that’s any different from other MP’s , however it’s still good to register our lack of consent, and to make them realise that this is coming into the mainstream more and more, and we will not be easily dismissed as conspiracy nuts any more.thank you for all your work on this project.
Thank you for making your NON CONSENT know to your MP. It may take a while to bring this to Parliament as so many people are unaware of its dangers and side effects. In order to do this we ask all to generate a good long term communication with MPs on the issue and we intend to publish advise to assist for example, how to prepare for a meeting with your MP at their surgery etc..
MP has raised our concerns with the relevant minister and will share any response that is received. Regards Yvonne
The reply From my MP & minister for transport is the same as others have reported denying any involvement in Geoengineering programs?, And the contrails being seen coming from planes are ICE CRYSTALS ????, I am looking for evidence to disprove this that the UK Government are involved in these programs to send back to them!, But to date I cant find any proof of UK involvement in Geoengineering programs!, It seems that they have taken all links to these programs of line I cant find any links now?.
I had written to my local MP (Richard Harrington) a few weeks ago and this is his reply: Thanks for your email.
I do know about the concerns some people have around geoengineering and chemtrails, however this has been looked into several times in a lot of depth and has been found to be false.
We all know that Contrails are released by aircraft as exhaust products – but the Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs tested these emissions and have found no danger or increased levels of barium as some reports had suggested. The Department of transport have also looked into the suggestion of chemtrails, but have confirmed that while other countries use weather modification techniques such as hurricane suppression and cloud seeding, this isn’t happening in the UK – a report into this by the Select Committee can be found here if you would like further information on this – http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200910/cmselect/cmsctech/221/22102.htm and is entitled ‘the Regulation of Geoengineering.’ – we also don’t need this in the UK as I’m sure you’ll agree, having quite enough rain and few hurricanes! I think it’s right that a Select Committee in Parliament looked into this in detail – as they should if people in the country are concerned and to reassure them that this isn’t happening.
Thanks again for your email,
Richard
As you sent your MP the Directive he has replied but has not responded to it in it’s entirety. Therefore I would make an appointment with him at his surgery and take some of your evidence, photos videos and rainwater analysis. There are still far too many people who do not believe this to be true. It is obvious something more than passenger flights are spraying cloud forming particulates in an on off fashion on some days but not others. The weather is being modified and we demand the granting of independent fuel and aircraft emissions testing, because an alarming amount of pollution is blocking the sun and if the government is serious about tackling so called climate change and global warming, an improvement in emissions needs to be made. Consider building a long term working communicative relationship with him about this noting particularly bad spray days with info from http://www.flightradar24.com as many spray planes are not on transponders. We will be putting out more detailed questions to ask and things to do to keep the pressure on. We would not accept this as an acceptable response but more detailed and thought about than many. We encourage you to keep up the good work sharing the info in the Directive within your community.
this madness needs to stop! Some people remember what clouds and normal skies used to look like! Some people are in tune with mother nature and remember what the rare contrail also used to look like!
Yes we do!
I recieved a response from Jack Straw who passed on my concerns to a Patrick McLoughlin who wrote a letter detailing with many explanations as to how and why. Such as reference to German scientific paper published in 2000. If you would like a copy of this letter I can email it once I scan it.
Yes please send it via our contact link. Thanks you.
Thank you for informing us of your response. Any correspondence you send us can be logged onto our status page.
All Civil and Military aircraft have to have markings and also have to be registered for insurance purposes. Maybe Trace back where these planes take off from and return then that would light the way a bit possibly?
It’s a matter of getting permission to inspect these craft and test the fuel and any injection equipment we can find.
Thank you for your suggestion. There is much that can be done to discover the truth. http://www.Look-up.uk.org is doing much along these lines. Perhaps contact then also with your ideas.
What an amazing website this is. Thank you Project UK. I am not alone. I have emailed MP Douglas Carswell and will let you know as when he responds. Has anyone noticed that as you try to look up at the sky it hurts your eyes more?. Genuine question. There is chemical trailing happening here in the SE as I type.
Stratospheric Aerosol Geoengineering does damamge the ozone. This link can help explain why. http://www.geoengineeringwatch.org/?s=ozone+depletion
I have sent the directive to my MP Ms Bradley and I am awaiting her response. I am in Staffordshire and will forward her response when I receive it.
The link for 2-planes-1-contrail doesn’t work (on my device anyway.) Sorry if this has been pointed out before? Not had chance to read all comments.
Hiya Louise, Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Which page are you referring to – our Photos page? And which device are you using?
I received a prompt and courteous reply from Guy Opperman. He has written to Ed Davey MP, Secretary of State at the Department of Energy and Climate Change, about the Issue. He has had discussions with colleagues, and the Department of Transport is not aware of aerosol being ejected from aircraft, other than normal exhaust products. He goes on to say – ” I am aware that other countries have on occasions used weather modification techniques, such as cloud seeding, which causes precipitation by introducing substances into cumulus clouds that cause condensation. However, these techniques are aimed at reducing the locally damaging impacts of hail, or promoting rainfall, and have no impact on climate and should not be considered to be geo-engineering. ” He then points out that since 1977, cloud seeding and environmental techniques have been subject to regulation for Hostile purposes (ed. but not peacetime purposes). Finally, he closes with the following link http://www.publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm200910/cmselect/cmsctech/221/22102.htm
I have just found this website and sent an e-mail to Laura Sandys my M.P. who has failed to reply to other people. I have been observing chemtrails for quite a few years and I often leave comments to stories about weather etc. on the net to relate the stories to their cause i.e. chemtrailing. What puzzled me this week is the totally whited-out skies all over the South East but the almost total absence in sight or sound of the chemtrailers which are so familiar. To me this indicates other causes such as H.A.A.R.P. with their associated ‘microwave’ technology, but whatever the cause I have suddenly started getting headaches which are sometimes associated with these ultra short wavelength technologies.
I hope this initiative is still ongoing and from the responses or lack of, I can see that the MPs are not willing to address it, too scared probably, or warned off. In fact Anthony Steen, MP for Totnes blew the whistle about chemtrails a few years ago and was promptly chucked out of his seat for his pains, with Sarah Wollaston replacing him. The good people of Totnes had managed to get him to listen. In the meantime, we are all being poisoned and these chemtrails are having a seriously detrimental effect on all life – human, animal and plant, causing massive ill health.
I sent a letter with the Directive to the local MP Maggie Throup (Erewash Borough Council) on 3rd July 2015 by email. I got a standard automated reply but heard nothing thereafter. After a number of follow up emails along with phone calls to her office in Long Eaton, I was informed that a reply had been sent to me on 3 occasions by royal mail. I advised that I have not received one letter in the post as yet. They then suggested I talk with Royal Mail as it may be that post is going missing. I said that I am receiving post from Royal mail almost everyday and that it has nothing to do with Royal mail. Maggie Throup personally came on the phone as she was listening into my conversation with her secretary and advised me that a letter will be hand delivered with a few days. A few days past, no sign of letter. I called the office again and her secretary Lorraine advised that a letter was posted a few days ago. No sign of any letter in the post. I asked why it has not been delivered in person as per the conversation with Maggie a few days ago. Lorraine advised I don’t but it has been posted. I was then informed that a letter would be delivered by 6pm this evening. I waited until 6pm and no sign of letter. then at around 7.30 I heard the letter box and low and behold it was from the House of Commons delivered by hand. To my disappointment, it was the bog standard reply as many have received as above. I don’t know why we bother sometimes. They are going to kill us all anyway! The people in power get away buy lying about such atrocities and genocide. Can someone please advise what more one can do to stop this horrific activity? Thanks
My posts seem to have been removed. can you please explain why
Hiya Nila, It should be there now – it just slipped through our net. Sorry about that. Cheers, James
